The Mission
The National Manuary Association is dedicated to the cause of raising awareness, funding research, and eventually finding a cure for prostate cancer. The organization strives to create a network of local Manuary events to raise awareness and money to find a cure for prostate cancer.
The Vision
Imagine if you will, a land where men are men, and there is facial hair as far as the eye can see. Now imagine that these men aren’t just bearded and mustached because a finely grown facial frock causes a female frenzy, but rather, they have grown their follicle foliage for a philanthropic cause. You no longer need to imagine, for what was just described is Manuary. Every January (from here on out renamed Manuary) men will unite behind the cause of finding a cure for prostate cancer and grow their beards in a showing of solidarity. Local Manuary Committees will host events to raise money for prostate cancer research and participants will fundraise with their facial forests by getting sponsored to not shave what the good lord gave. It is our hope that this network of hairy heroes stretches from coast to coast and through our combined efforts we are able to find the Manswer to prostate cancer.
The First Step
A National Manuary Celebration is a lofty goal, much like growing a mustache both as rugged and refined as Magnum P.I., but just as every beard starts with stubble, Manuary must start somewhere. Tallahassee.
